On November 8th, 2018, Towee Boats announced that it has spun off Hardly Strictly Musky as a stand alone event and donated all rights to the HSM identity to Hardly Strictly Musky Inc - a newly formed Tennessee Nonprofit.
"I am super excited to see this finally happen" said Todd Gregory, HSM host and one of the original organizers. " This thing has always come together through the hard work of a ton of volunteers over the years and now we have a great board in place that will be taking over the management and organization of the event." Gregory will continue to host Hardly Strictly Musky and serve on the board of directors but was quick to point out that he now serves at the pleasure of that board. "This is a rare chance to have a lot of fun with an incredible group of anglers and do some good along the way". Proceeds from HSM will benefit water and habitat conservation efforts in Tennessee.
Towee Boats will continue to join Patagonia as co-presenters of the event along with a great group of past sponsors like Hardy, Yeti, Orvis, Rep Your Water, Costa and many more.
Hardly Strictly Musky is the largest and oldest gathering of musky on the fly enthusiast in the US and annually attracts visitors from all over the country to McMinnville, TN every second week in May. Registration for HSM 2019 opens December 1st at www.hardlystrictlymuskyflyfishing.com.
