It is with great disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this year's Hardly Strictly Musky. As announced earlier, April 1st is the last day that we could make a GO decision and still be able to pull off the logistics required to stage the event.
We had considered postponing HSM until the Fall however, that presented two problems; 1. There are other Fall events that are scheduled at that time so that they are not in conflict with our event and, 2. This would put the 20 and 21 events only six months apart. After much discussion, we have made the decision to cancel.
Participants will have the choice of:
1. Applying their registration to the 2021 event.
2. Receiving a full refund, or
3. Possibly donating their entry to a COVID19 related charity (we are investigating this now).
It will take a few days to organize the mechanism to manage the process of determining what each angler would like done with their entry fee. An announcement will be made on April 11th as to what this process will look like.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the anglers who have fished with us over the years - each and every one of you - and all of our awesome sponsors for making this unusual and unlikely event possible. We look forward to the fun and frivolity returning in 2021. In the meantime, the board and staff here at HSM World HQ ask that you keep Hardly Strictly Musky in your hearts - take care of yourself and your families, get out on the water when and where you can and enjoy mixing it up with these great predator fish and, whenever you get the chance, do something to help your fellow man - like proving that Carol really did feed her husband to the tigers.
